I started a new desktop project called Plexy Desk. Initially we wanted to call it KBFX Desktop. But we kept on guessing names, untill we struck on the name Plexy. We are brain storming and coding at the same time. We initilly want to code a light weight Desktop physics engine. The reason why we call it "light weight" is bcos it supports only few selected components like, Collision detection, Spring systems, and Gravity simulation. The user interface will be completely done with a openGL based Canvas. Stay tuned in for more updates on the project, and if you want to read more about the project and look at the code, you can visit http://code.google.com/p/plexydesk/
I just youtubified my grand mother, this video is not available for public viewing, if you want to watch it, please email me so I can grant permission to view the video (Family members only). she left us all crying in 2005 for her heavenly resting place. I will never forget you Umumma (In Tamil for grandmother)
If you need true transparency support for your X11 application, XComposite extension is the best option at this point. You can download my Qt Clock example, which contains code which lets you enable true transparency with Qt toolkit. I wrote this really long time, Around early 2006 I guess. When XComposite and Qt4 were at it's infant stages so there was hardly any sample Code showing how one could use the extension to enable true transparency. So I thought of coding a simple clock to demonstrate the technique. and if you are using Qt all you have to do is use my QtDisplay class and use it as in the same way I have done on main.cpp file. if you are still lost, drop an email to siraj at kde dot org for help (or on a lucky day you might find me on irc (#raptor #plasma on freenode ) for a real chat). click here and download the source code and have fun.
There are so many nice tools to make websites, such as Kompose for Linux and Macromedia products for windows and mac. But some times old habbits never go away. So this site will remain static HTML, Unless I need to do some thing crazy with php.
June 5th of 2005 wasn't a Sunday but a inspiring day for me.
it was the day I wrote the fist few segments of kbfx. it was nothing
but a label that made a dcop call. Then for some strange reason I published it
on kde-look.org. from there things start to change, and Sunday became my KBFX day.
This Sunday Nookie came up with a new tool tip design .The first one is a Very professional
and eligent one and I made a some changes to it and made a option to make it funky. Hence that butterfly.

Nookie dose not like this funky tooltip (He likes professional Art). I but I wanted some movements. so We have two options. We plan to make this option avalilable on our new config, so that the user can choose the tool tip he wants. And again we give u a theamable tooltip. unlike any other app todate.
